In Berkshire County, where farmland is rapidly diminishing, the Farmsteads for Farmers campaign is addressing land and housing insecurity for local farmers. By securing land through the Berkshire Community Land Trust, farmers can build equity while practicing regenerative agriculture. The grant will help purchase River Run Farm, providing a sustainable future for farmers and their communities.

Little Lighthouse Farm

Little Lighthouse Farm is an urban regenerative farm focused on providing nutrient-dense food and community education. Grant funds will enhance storage and transportation, improving access to fresh produce and engaging local youth in sustainable practices.

Heart2Heart Farms

Founded by two disabled veterans, Heart2Heart Farms is dedicated to food sovereignty and community service. The grant will enhance their food distribution efforts, allowing them to reach even more families in need while reducing food waste.

Seven Pines Farm

After moving to a rural area to secure raw milk for their family, Seven Pines Farm has expanded to nourish 40 other families. The grant will enhance their micro-dairy operations, improving milk quality and efficiency, while also benefiting those in the community who are lactose intolerant and seeking access to raw dairy.
